We are the Belfast (Northern Ireland) chapter of MobileMonday, a global grassroots community to promote and foster cooperation & networking among mobile professionals/companies by providing opportunities for personal and virtual contacts.

MobileMonday Belfast are exhibiting on stand E61 in hall 1 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 15-18 February 2010, to offer three services to companies:

We will recruit
top speakers of the mobile industry among the 45k+ visitors for our next events in Belfast, but also to present the NI
speakers we've had at our past events to other MoMo chapters who will be visiting us;
We will promote all NI companies active in the mobile space present at the
MWC to the global MoMo community, for the companies members of other MoMo chapters interested in those NI companies can arrange a
meeting on the stand, during the MWC; Contact us now if you are interested, as time is running out;
3. Showcase of the
NI Mobile Community
We will prepare a presentation about the mobile cluster in NI and the activities of the MobileMonday Belfast chapter,
as well as highlight the different companies that offer a
technology/product/service/application with a global relevance.
Mobile Demo Night & MPA Selection
On Monday 23 November 2009 we hosted our second mobile demo night of the
year at the Black Box in the Cathedral Quarter, Belfast. No less than
60 folks came along for an eye-popping session, a real showcase of
digital creativity in the province, including Awakin's Titanifacts, Wee
Man Studios' Galactic Racer, Infurious' Eye Candy, Instil's Coupster as
well as a brief on Aepona's OneAPI.
Congratulations to
Speechstorm and their IVVO service who won the nomination to represent Belfast at the global
Mobile Premier Awards. Only 48 companies were nominated workdwide! The international jury is now deliberating and will announce this week which 20 companies made it to the last round and are invtied to Barcelona to present to a live audince of 500 chapters representatives. Good luck to them!
Early Stage Finance for Your Mobile Business
Our event on Monday 19 Oct. 2009 was a massive success (>60 attendees). The Black Box Cafe was packed to capacity to listen to speakers from Invest NI, MatchMedia, E-Synergy and Silicon Valley.

Monetising Mobile Content
We had a good crowd turnout in our new venue Black Box for our September 2009 event, with speakers from Aepona, SLA Mobile and XIAM-Qualcomm. Mobile Content is hot and in greater demand than ever from MNOs.
Mobile Marketing & Advertising
Our May 2009 event on Mobile Marketing & Advertising was a big success (>50 attendees) with great presentations from BlueAge Media, Puca and SalesOnline.ie, lots of pertinent questions from the audience.
MobileMonday Belfast exhibits at the Mobile World Congress 2009
Colm Hayden & Norbert Sagnard were representing MoMoBT on the Invest NI stand (photo below) at the Mobile World Congress, on 16-19 Feb. 2009 in Barcelona, connecting with dozens of other MoMo members in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
On Monday 16 Feb. in Barcelona (MWC), we attended the
Mobile Peer Awards (organised by the local MobileMonday chapter) at the Palau de la Musica; we wish to congratulate
Babajob in Bangalore for winning the Early Start-Up award!
